Description
This authentic 1935 NSDAP National Party Day Badge (Reichsparteitagabzeichen) was issued to commemorate the 1935 Reichsparteitag (National Party Rally) held in Nuremberg, one of the most significant annual political gatherings of the Third Reich. These rally badges were produced in limited quantities for participants, party officials, and attendees of the historic event.
Manufactured by Fechler Bernsbach, a well-known maker of Third Reich political insignia, this badge features the classic rally design struck in metal with detailed relief and period-correct construction. The obverse displays the traditional rally motif incorporating the Reich eagle and swastika above the rally inscription, commemorating the 1935 National Party Day held in Nürnberg.
The reverse retains the original maker marking for Fechler Bernsbach, confirming authentic production by this respected manufacturer of political awards and commemorative badges during the period. The badge is fitted with its original pinback fastening assembly.
The 1935 Reich Party Rally, often referred to as the “Rally of Freedom” (Reichsparteitag der Freiheit), was historically significant due to the announcement of the Nuremberg Laws, making artifacts from this specific rally highly sought after by collectors and historians specializing in Third Reich political memorabilia.
This example remains in excellent condition, showing strong detail, clean surfaces, and a well-preserved finish. The pin and hinge assembly remain intact and fully functional, making it an attractive display piece for advanced collectors of NSDAP rally badges and political insignia.
