The acid-etched motto "Alles für Deutschland" (Everything for Germany) and the maker's mark "E. P. & S. Solingen" are well-executed and remain clear and dark. The term "Solingen" refers to the city in Germany known for its historical significance in producing high-quality blades.

History

The "SA Röhm Dagger" was a type of dagger used by the Sturmabteilung (SA), a paramilitary organization in Nazi Germany. These daggers were often associated with Ernst Röhm, a prominent Nazi official and one of the key figures in the early Nazi movement.

Ernst Röhm played a significant role in the rise of the Nazi Party and was the leader of the SA until he was executed in the "Night of the Long Knives" purge in 1934. After his death, the Nazi regime attempted to remove his name and association from various artifacts, including the SA daggers that bore his name. The term "Röhm Dagger" was no longer used, and they became known as "SA Daggers."

Ernst Pack & Sohn was a known maker of SA daggers. These daggers were often marked with the maker's name, year of production, and other relevant details.
