Description
This Original World War II 1943 U.S. Remington Model 1903-A3 Bolt Action, Caliber 30-06 Rifle with Bayonet, Manufactured in 1943. "SC/3-43" barrel. "S.A." stamped stock. With U.S. Model 1905 Bayonet, Scabbard, and leather sling.
Chambered in .30-06 Springfield, the Model 1903-A3 delivered excellent range, power, and dependability. Although the M1 Garand became the standard U.S. service rifle during the war, the 1903-A3 continued to see widespread service in training, support roles, and combat use, particularly where accuracy and rugged simplicity were valued. These rifles were also commonly issued stateside and overseas, and many were paired with bayonets for field service.
This example includes a bayonet and leather sling, adding greatly to its display and collector appeal. The presence of these accessories enhances the rifle’s World War II military character and makes it an outstanding representative U.S. martial arms grouping. The leather sling gives the rifle a classic military look, while the bayonet reflects the full combat configuration associated with American service rifles of the era.
The overall appearance of this Remington 1903-A3 reflects the robust craftsmanship and wartime utility that collectors look for in an original U.S. World War II rifle. It remains a desirable piece for collectors of American military firearms, especially those seeking an authentic 1943-dated Remington example with bayonet and sling.
