History
The Finnish Mosin Nagant Model 39 (M39) is a refinement of the Russian Mosin Nagant design. It represents one of the most effective bolt-action rifles of World War II. Developed by Finland after its independence from Russia in 1917, the M39 served Finnish forces during both the Winter War (1939–1940) and the Continuation War (1941–1944) against the Soviet Union.
The 1942 Model 39 played a pivotal role in Finland's war efforts. It is an enduring symbol of Finnish resistance and innovation during World War II. Today, surviving examples of the SAKO-made M39 are highly sought after due to their historical significance and exceptional craftsmanship.
