Description

This is an original WWII German MP44 / Sturmgewehr 44 30-round magazine manufactured by Haenel, identified by the wartime maker code “fxo.” The magazine is clearly marked with the correct Waffenamt eagle over WaA250 inspection stamp, confirming military acceptance during the Third Reich period.

The MP44, later known as the StG 44, was one of the most important small arms developments of World War II and is widely recognized as the first true modern assault rifle. Chambered for the intermediate 7.92x33mm Kurz cartridge, the weapon required a detachable curved box magazine, typically holding 30 rounds, designed to feed reliably in both semi-automatic and fully automatic fire.

This example remains in near mint condition, showing excellent original finish with very minimal handling wear. The magazine body is clean and well-preserved, with strong seams, crisp edges, and clearly visible factory and acceptance markings. The floorplate is intact and properly fitted, and the follower and spring appear well-preserved.

Original MP44 magazines are increasingly difficult to find in this condition, especially examples with sharp fxo and WaA250 markings. This would make an outstanding addition to any WWII German small arms, MP44/StG44, or advanced military magazine collection.
