This high-quality MP44 is D-K Production Group’s reproduction of the famous MP44, Sturmgewehr 44, considered to be the first successful assault rifle.
Designed by Bert Dittrich in Germany this Sturmgewehr Semi-Automatic, fires 7.92×33 (8mm kurz) rounds, from a 30-round magazine. The german stampings are identical to the original German production Sturmgewehr MP44 from World War II. It also has un-finish-machined forgings for parts like the stacking rod and gas block, correctly duplicating the original German production.
It features extensive use of sheet metal, castings, and wood furniture, closely mirroring the original design.
It fires the original 7.92 x 33mm Kurz cartridge and uses 30-round magazines that are compatible with original magazines. While it includes features that visually resemble the original, it is only semi-automatic and lacks a full-auto capability.
The receivers are manufactured in the US to be 922r compliant, while utilizing parts from Germany.

History
The MP44, more accurately designated as the Sturmgewehr 44 (StG 44), is widely regarded as the world’s first true assault rifle, a groundbreaking development in infantry weaponry during World War II. Developed and deployed by Nazi Germany, the MP44 was a response to the limitations of both bolt-action rifles and submachine guns on the modern battlefield.
