This is an Original Nazi FN Browning High Power, 9mm. This has a fixed rear sight and no stock slot. The is German WWII WaA140 proofed on the frame slide and barrel. This has checkered walnut grips, and all matching numbers. The blue rates about 99% and the bore is 10/10 Near Mint.
The FN Browning Hi-Power stands as one of the most advanced and historically significant semi-automatic pistols of the Second World War. Designed by John Moses Browning and completed by Dieudonné Saive of Fabrique Nationale (FN) in Herstal, Belgium, the Hi-Power represented a major step forward in military sidearm design with its high-capacity 13-round magazine, robust construction, and excellent ergonomics.
German Occupation Production (1940–1944)
Following the German invasion and occupation of Belgium in May 1940, Fabrique Nationale fell under German control. Production of the Browning Hi-Power resumed shortly afterward, with the pistols being manufactured for use by the Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS, Luftwaffe aircrews, Fallschirmjäger, and various occupation and security forces.
These occupation-era pistols are easily identified by German acceptance and inspection proofs—typically Eagle/WaA140, Eagle/WaA613, or Eagle/WaA103, applied to the slide, frame, and barrel. Wartime examples also feature simplified machining, phosphate or blued finishes, and wood or resin-impregnated grips depending on the year of production.
