Description

This original World War II-era German NSDAP / Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF) member’s visor cap badge, an attractive example of period political and labor-organization insignia from the Third Reich era.

The Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF), or German Labour Front, was established in 1933 following the dissolution of Germany’s independent trade unions. As one of the largest organizations within the National Socialist state, the DAF employed a distinctive range of uniforms, headgear, badges, and organizational insignia.

This visor cap badge features the characteristic period design associated with the organization and retains clear reverse markings. Of particular interest to collectors is the RZM marking, indicating manufacture or distribution under the Reichszeugmeisterei system responsible for regulating officially approved NSDAP uniforms, insignia, and equipment.

The reverse is additionally marked “Lieterant” and bears the number “374.” These markings provide an interesting identifying feature and should be carefully examined when researching the badge's specific manufacturer or RZM authorization.

The badge remains in excellent condition, displaying strong original detail and an appealing period appearance. The reverse markings remain readily identifiable, making this a desirable example for collectors specializing in DAF, NSDAP political organization insignia, German visor-cap insignia, and original WWII German militaria.

Features:

• Original WWII German manufacture
• Associated with the NSDAP / Deutsche Arbeitsfront (DAF)
• Period visor cap badge
• RZM stamped/marked
• Marked “Lieterant”
• Numbered “374”
