History
The original World War II German P.08 Luger hardshell holster consists of black leather material with Bautzen maker’s mark and 1941 date stamp. The Wehrmacht produced this Luger P.08 holster as a functional example of their standardized military production during the mid-war period. The holster protects the pistol through its full-flap design which includes a secure strap-and-buckle closure system and features an internal pouch for spare magazines and a small pocket under the flap for a takedown tool. The rear section includes strong belt loops which provide both field functionality and easy carrying options. The leather maintains its strong structure while showing wartime service wear which is consistent with its use in the field yet displays clear wartime markings. These holsters gain value from their connection to the Luger pistol legend together with their skilled craftsmanship and genuine historical accuracy. The Bautzen 1941 marking shows that the piece was produced in a vital industrial region of Germany during wartime which enhances its historical significance.
