Description

This Very "RARE", Original WW2 German Brown Bakelite 6x30 Service Officer Binoculars set was manufactured using Bakelite due to wartime economic constraints. Highly sought after by collectors, these binoculars come complete with their original neck strap and rubber lens cover, both of which remained with the set when recently discovered. The optics remain crisp and clear, and the brown Bakelite eyecups are free of damage. One shoulder is marked 'CXN,' denoting manufacture by Emil Busch AG Optics. Both the neck strap and lens cover are confirmed original to the piece. This is an exceptional, near-mint example of the iconic field binoculars issued to German infantry officers during World War II.

History

This is an Original WW2 German Wehrmacht Officer Dienstglas 6x30 "CXN" Binoculars, constructed from brown bakelite—a material widely used during the war due to metal shortages and economic restrictions. These field-issued binoculars were a vital part of German infantry equipment, providing officers with essential battlefield visibility and tactical advantage.

The binoculars retain their original wartime neck strap and rubber lens cover, which were still attached when the set was recently discovered. The optics remain clear and functional, offering excellent viewing quality, with both Bakelite eyecups intact and free from damage. One shoulder is marked "CXN," the wartime code for Emil Busch AG, a renowned German optics manufacturer.

Accompanying the binoculars is the rigid leather carrying case, which is in very good condition and features secure fastening and an intact shoulder strap, further enhancing the authenticity and completeness of this set.

This is a superb, well-preserved example of the classic Dienstglas 6x30 binoculars carried by Wehrmacht officers throughout World War II—an excellent collectible for any serious militaria enthusiast.
