WWII US Thompson .45ACP 30-round stick magazine. A rare piece of original WWII US small-arms equipment for the legendary Thompson submachine gun. The magazine is in mint condition and is becoming a very collectible item for WWII military arms collectors.
Original WWII Thompson Magazine
During World War II the United States and other Allied countries required very large quantities of Thompson submachine guns and their magazines. These stick magazines were issued in large numbers, the 30-round box magazine became the standard high-capacity stick magazine for the wartime Thompson models.
A .45 ACP stick magazine for Thompsons made of stamped and formed steel for maximum durability. These to be fed with the powerful .45 ACP cartridge for reliable fire during WWII.
Crosby Company Manufacture

The 30-Round Thompson Magazine
The 30-round stick magazine for the .45 ACP Thompson was the next step in ammunition capacity for the Thompson after the 20-round box magazine. The simple design for increased capacity was well suited for the wartime M1 and M1A1 Thompsons which did not have provision for the classic Thompson drum magazines.
The Thompson was a well-known American firearm of WWII, which was used by the U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, airborne troops, armored troops, Rangers and many other groups of the U.S. military. In addition to the U.S. military, the Thompson and its magazines were supplied to many of the Allied countries during WWII by the U.S. through Lend-Lease.
