History:
The Yugoslavian Model 59/66 SKS is a highly regarded military rifle known for its robust design, reliability, and historical significance. This semi-automatic rifle has its roots in post-World War II firearms development and holds a special place in military history, particularly in Eastern Europe.
The Model 59/66 SKS was produced in Yugoslavia during the Cold War era, building on the original Soviet SKS-45 design. It was manufactured by Zastava Arms, one of Yugoslavia's premier arms manufacturers, with production beginning in the 1960s. Unlike the standard SKS-45, the Model 59/66 was equipped with a few key enhancements that made it uniquely suited for Yugoslavian military needs.
