Finnish military rifles are some of the best made. Many of them were made using Russian parts and fixed up by famous Finnish companies like SAKO, Tikkakoski, VKT and B Barrel. Some popular ones are the M27, M28, M28/30 and the famous M39, which is said to be one of the accurate military rifles of World War II.

People who collect these rifles love them because they have barrels, good triggers and nice stocks. The ones with marks, Civil Guard marks and numbers that match are very special.

Finnish Military Pistols

The old Finnish pistols are also very cool. The Lahti L-35 9mm pistol is one of the military handguns from the war. It was made to work even in very cold weather. The Finnish Army also used pistols they took from the Soviets and ones they bought from countries.

If you can find one of these pistols with the numbers in good condition and with an old holster it is very valuable.

Bayonets & Edged Weapons

The Finnish military bayonets and knives are very practical. People like to collect the M27, M28, M39 and Civil Guard bayonets and the traditional Finnish Puukko knives that soldiers used during the war.

If you can find one of these with its cover, leather strap and makers mark it is very desirable.

The old Finnish uniforms are great because they are strong and look very Scandinavian. You can find:

The old Finnish steel helmets are very cool. They used some helmets, but they also made their own. Many of these helmets still have the paint, camouflage and marks from the units that used them.

If you can find a helmet with its liner, strap and papers that say where it came from it is one of the desirable Finnish military items.

Historical Significance

The Finnish Army did a job during the Winter War and the Continuation War. Even though they were outnumbered they used their shooting, smart tactics and knowledge of the land to fight back against the Soviets. This is why old Finnish military items are so valuable and important.
